Bank and credit union portfolio debt

Banks and credit unions still write the relationship loan: portfolio hold, recourse conversations that are actually conversations, and structures that do not have to survive a rating agency.

Capital Market Funds originates these requests across banks and credit unions — local, regional, and national — rather than sending every file to a single house lender. We arrange the debt; we are not the bank.

Typical uses

  • Acquisition and refinance for sponsors who want a portfolio hold
  • Credit-union execution for the right asset and relationship
  • Floating or fixed structures that a securitization box will not allow

Who it fits

Owners who value a lender they can call, and who can live with deposit, covenant, or recourse terms that agency, life, and CMBS do not impose in the same way.

How the file is executed

We shop the request to banks and credit unions whose credit boxes match the asset — not a blast email to the market. Term sheets come back from the institution that would hold the loan. We coordinate underwriting, third parties, and closing, and we tell you when a GSE or life-company path is cleaner.

Request a term sheet

Send the asset, the purpose, and the timing. Craig will tell you which capital source the file actually belongs in.
