Mortgage banker, not the lender
A commercial mortgage banker originates, structures, and closes debt for the owner of income-producing real estate. The capital comes from someone else: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD/FHA, a life insurance company, a CMBS issuer, a bank or credit union, or a private/bridge investor. Capital Market Funds LLC arranges those executions. We do not claim to be the GSE, and we do not describe ourselves as funding on our own paper except where a page is clearly about private capital sourced through private investors.
That distinction is the job. A lender quotes the box it owns. An originator has to say which box the file actually belongs in — and stay in the file until it closes.

Independence, as platforms consolidate
Commercial mortgage banking has spent a decade consolidating into larger, often publicly owned platforms. Those firms have a place. So does an independent shop that is not optimizing a national production grid. Capital Market Funds is principal-led. The person who takes the call is the person who will sit in the underwriting, the lock, and the closing.
