According to the Wikipedia article on Tempe, Arizona, opened October 28, 2026, Tempe is in Maricopa County and is home to the main campus of Arizona State University. The 13th Arizona Territorial Legislature chose Tempe in 1885 for the Territorial Normal School, which became the university. The Salt River runs through the northern part of the city, and part of the river is dammed in two places to create Tempe Town Lake. The article says the lake is home to events such as Ironman Arizona and the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon, that a 2004 presidential debate was held at Gammage Auditorium, and that Super Bowl XXX was played at Sun Devil Stadium. It also says Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is about two miles northwest of Tempe. The ASU article, opened the same day, says the Tempe campus is the original campus and the largest of ASU's campuses, in downtown Tempe. None of those sentences is a revenue figure.
